Astral projection is the act of separating your physical from your astral(dream body) and enjoying the freedom of the astral world.

How do you do it ?
Here is one simple technique you can use to enter the Astral World

1 ) Lay comfortably on your back and close your eyes

2 ) Do not move your body and try not to move your eyes
You will get urges to move, ignore them.

3 ) Wait and concentrate on the breathing.

We are tricking the brain to think that the body is dreaming. If you ignore the urges the brain will think that you are asleep and will activate the safety body paralysis to protect you from moving around and hurting yourself while dreaming.

4 ) When this happens you can finally separate from your paralyzed-physical body

The problem with the separation process is that the 2 bodies are merged and you don't know witch one is the astral. If you try to move your physical body everything will mess up and you might “wake up” in paralyzed.

So how can you know which one is the right one ?
Here is one simple trick :

Don't try to move and just visualize that you have new set of arms or legs. And since you are in the Astral world they will be created for you. Now you know that those arms are part of your astral(dream) body and you can move them withoud being afraid of waking up in the stupid paralysis.

Do the same for the legs.
Its time to take control, now you can do anything you desire.

Here are some things you will want to try when inside the dream :

Try looking in the sky. Interesting colors will appear.
Flying is really really FUN.
Sex feels real. You can do it with anyone(anytwo)(anythree) you imagine.
Speak with your Idols - movie stars, cartoons, even aliens.

Marijuana Cuts Lung Cancer Tumor Growth In Half, Study Shows

The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse studies.

They say this is the first set of experiments to show that the compound, Delta-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), inhibits EGF-induced growth and migration in epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expressing non-small cell lung cancer cell lines. Lung cancers that over-express EGFR are usually highly aggressive and resistant to chemotherapy.

THC that targets cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 is similar in function to endocannabinoids, which are cannabinoids that are naturally produced in the body and activate these receptors. The researchers suggest that THC or other designer agents that activate these receptors might be used in a targeted fashion to treat lung cancer.

“The beauty of this study is that we are showing that a substance of abuse, if used prudently, may offer a new road to therapy against lung cancer,” said Anju Preet, Ph.D., a researcher in the Division of Experimental Medicine.

Acting through cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, endocannabinoids (as well as THC) are thought to play a role in variety of biological functions, including pain and anxiety control, and inflammation. Although a medical derivative of THC, known as Marinol, has been approved for use as an appetite stimulant for cancer patients, and a small number of U.S. states allow use of medical marijuana to treat the same side effect, few studies have shown that THC might have anti-tumor activity, Preet says. The only clinical trial testing THC as a treatment against cancer growth was a recently completed British pilot study in human glioblastoma.

In the present study, the researchers first demonstrated that two different lung cancer cell lines as well as patient lung tumor samples express CB1 and CB2, and that non-toxic doses of THC inhibited growth and spread in the cell lines. “When the cells are pretreated with THC, they have less EGFR stimulated invasion as measured by various in-vitro assays,” Preet said.

Then, for three weeks, researchers injected standard doses of THC into mice that had been implanted with human lung cancer cells, and found that tumors were reduced in size and weight by about 50 percent in treated animals compared to a control group. There was also about a 60 percent reduction in cancer lesions on the lungs in these mice as well as a significant reduction in protein markers associated with cancer progression, Preet says.

Although the researchers do not know why THC inhibits tumor growth, they say the substance could be activating molecules that arrest the cell cycle. They speculate that THC may also interfere with angiogenesis and vascularization, which promotes cancer growth.

Preet says much work is needed to clarify the pathway by which THC functions, and cautions that some animal studies have shown that THC can stimulate some cancers. “THC offers some promise, but we have a long way to go before we know what its potential is,” she said.

When looking at a polar bear, the first thing you may notice is their size or their thick white fur. Most people would find it absurd to say that the fur color would be anything except white. In truth, that fur you are seeing is actually clear! Much like snow, the fur just reflects the sunlight and looks white.

Since each hair on a polar bears body is made out of keratin, it absorbs ultraviolet light from the sun. What the keratin does is provide extra warmth for the skin. On further note, polar bear fur is water repellant, and the hair does not mat when it is wet. This helps the polar bear shake off water and ice, providing it with even more warmth.

Someone had the notion that the polar bear hairs might be much like optical fibers. This notion was wrong, though. In the early 1980's, some smartass scientist figured that polar bear fur was like a hollow tube, which the heat of the sun would hit, and go down the tube, touching the skin. He was like whatever and concluded that a polar bears skin is actually black, which is a color that absorbs heat. He thought he had figured out how the polar bear kept warm in very arctic places, and was sure that their fur was transparent.

That smartass scientist was absolutely correct. On very sunny day, the fur traps infrared heat and keeps the bear at a temperature of 98 degrees Fahrenheit(when the animal is at rest). The black skin is an adaption that allows for the maximum warming to the skin when exposed to sunlight. So despite the icebergs, harsh winds, and cold snow, freezing is not an issue for polar bears because theyre awesome.

It was also discovered that many polar bears found in various zoos all over the continent were starting to turn a shade of green. Scientists found out that algae was the problem. The thing is, the algae was not on the outside of the polar bear hair, but on the inside!! (insert suspense music) The reason for this supposedly came from pond water that surrounded the bears'.

So apart from having thick transparent fur, the polar bear is also one of the largest bears on Earth. Their weight is as close to 750-1,500 pounds. At a glance these bears may only seem like intimidating yet simple artic inhabitants, but there are defiantly many interesting and amazing facts about them.

The Real Crepe Cake

For the crêpes batter:

6 tablespoons butter
3 cups milk
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
7 tbsp. sugar
Pinch salt
vegetable oil

The day before serving the cake, make the crepe batter and the pastry cream. For the batter, cook the butter in a small pan until brown like hazelnuts. Set aside. In another small pan, heat the milk until steaming; allow to cool for 10 minutes. In a mixer on medium-low speed, beat together the eggs, flour, sugar and salt. Slowly add the hot milk and browned butter. Pour into a container with a spout, cover and refrigerate overnight.

To make the crepes, bring the batter to room temperature. Place a nonstick or seasoned 9-inch crepe pan over medium heat. Swab the surface with the oil, then add about 3 tablespoons batter and swirl to cover the surface. Cook until the bottom just begins to brown, about 1 minute, then carefully lift an edge and flip the crepe with your fingers. Cook on the other side for no longer than 5 seconds. Flip the crepe onto a baking sheet lined with parchment. Repeat until you have 20 perfect crepes.

For the vanilla pastry cream:

2 cups milk
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
6 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch, sifted
3 1/2 tbsp. butter

Bring the milk to a boil. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract then set aside for 10 minutes. Fill a large bowl with ice and set aside a small bowl that can hold the finished pastry cream and be placed in this ice bath.

In a medium heavy-bottomed pan, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch. Gradually whisk in the hot milk, then place pan over high heat and bring to a boil, whisking vigorously for 1 to 2 minutes. Press the pastry cream through a fine-meshed sieve into the small bowl. Set the bowl in the ice bath and stir until the temperature reaches 140 degrees on an instant-read thermometer. Stir in the butter. When completely cool, cover and refrigerate.

To assemble the cake:

2 cups heavy cream
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons Kirsch
icing sugar (optional)

Whip the heavy cream with the tablespoon sugar and the Kirsch. It won’t hold stiff peaks but that’s okay. Fold it into the pastry cream.

Lay 1 crepe on a cake plate. Using an icing spatula, completely cover with a thin layer of pastry cream (about 1/4 cup). Cover with a crepe and repeat to make a stack of 20, with the best-looking crepe on top. Chill for at least 2 hours. Set out for 30 minutes before serving.

If you have a blowtorch for creme brulee, sprinkle the top crepe with 2 tablespoons sugar and caramelize with the torch; otherwise, dust with confectioners’ sugar. Slice like a cake.

The KEO Project

KEO (Knowledge-centred Earth Observation) is the name of a proposed space time capsule which was to have been launched in 2003 carrying messages from the citizens of present Earth to humanity 50,000 years from now, when it would reenter Earth's atmosphere. It was later delayed to 2006, then to 2007/8, then to 2010/11, and is currently estimated to launch in 2012.

The project KEO claims to be supported by UNESCO (who it claims voted it "Project of the 21st century"). Its name is supposed to represent the three most frequently used sounds common to the most widely spoken languages today, K, E and O.

Understanding KEO

The project KEO was conceived in 1994 by French artist-scientist Jean-Marc Philippe, a pioneer of space art. Messages began to be collected, and an initial launch date was set for 2001. Technical feasibility demonstration and other various delays have moved the launch date to 2012.

KEO will also carry a diamond that encases a drop of human blood chosen at random and samples of air, sea water and earth. The DNA of the human genome will be engraved on one of the faces. The satellite will also carry an astronomical clock that shows the current rotation rates of several pulsars; photographs of people of all cultures; and "the contemporary Library of Alexandria", an encyclopaedic compendium of current human knowledge.

PERSONAL MESSAGES
Every person is invited to contribute to the time capsule,—the deadline was 31 December 2009, but as it is now 2010, the deadline is 2011. The organizers encourage everybody to gather messages from children, senior citizens and the illiterate so that every culture and demographic on Earth is represented. The satellite has enough capacity to carry a four-page message from each of the more than six billion inhabitants on the planet. Once the satellite is launched, the messages will be made freely available on the web.

Things you can do with absolutely nothing

See a variety of blobs, stars and flashes. Try to make out shapes and see if your subconscious is trying to send you a message.

Try to not think about penguins
This is especially hard, because by trying too much, you remember what you were trying to avoid thinking of. If you try too little, you end up thinking about penguins anyway.

Use your secret mind power
Pick someone and try to use your mind power to command them do something, like drop their bag or knock into someone. The law of averages dictates that sooner or later one of your mind commands will come true, so you can convince yourself that you really have super human powers and waste even more time trying them out.

Pretend you're a robot
Walk down the street with mechanical movements. Pretending to have a motor broken in, say, your left hand can add at least 30 seconds more entertainment. Haha

Scratch yourself
Go ahead, scratch yourself now. Even if nothing itches, go ahead. Doesn't that feel pretty good?

Repeat the same word over and over until it loses its meaning
Pick a random word and say it aloud to yourself until it becomes a meaningless set of noises.

Pinch yourself

I was a sunny afternoon, i was bored that day so i was doing some general reading on the net. I read this article about this degree program on some specific web (website link will not be revealed) on the opinion on some students regarding and the benefits of the program. To me its funny how people can make things so distorted that we, not all somewhat believe what every point that the media can convince oneself to just believe every story and statements.

This is some of the article contents. I choose this specific paragraph because my friend's name was mentioned inside it. Now lets read the content

I dont know how it went there but i do believe there's a certain statement that she made being distorted by the author of this article. There's too much suspicion on her statement since i know the real Yen will not exaggerate that much of a details. ( i do believe )

Limkokwing Borneo’s culture of excellence pays dividends
10 December 2008

The Limkokwing award-winning team with their lecturers, Petrus Alfred Paul and Kristian Lee.
It is not the winning streak but the proud culture of excellence that enables Limkokwing University of Creative Technology to gain recognition for its achievements constantly. Thus time and again, it has captured awards at home and abroad.

Limkokwing Borneo was in the limelight again recently when its students won 1st place in a graffiti competition organised by Boulevard Shopping Mall. Competing against contenders from other colleges, Limkokwing students capitalised the graffiti arena with a stunning showcase of skills and design. The graffiti competition required students to create a design on four sets of 4' 8' panels with the title; Faces of Boulevard.

The contestants applied their skills to the panels in different styles. After hours of painting and spraying, Limkokwing students managed to create an artwork that stood out among the rest, thus making them the champions.

Being victorious wasn’t the only objective Limokokwing students had in mind. The graffiti competition acted as a platform to show the public how design requires valuable qualities such as determination, focus, teamwork, and a proactive approach towards creativity.
Innovating the whole theme of the competition, Limokokwing students created a design that was a mix of sci-fi, surrealism and expressionism. Combined all together, the graffiti was truly a piece of modern art, which will simply amaze everyone.

“Competitions such as these are very important especially to today’s youth because the public can see for themselves the whole process of creating art,” said Ah Hau, Limkokwing’s graphic design student, who was one of the participants. “Through this, people would be exposed to the field of arts and design in Kuching.”

Limkokwing University has won awards in various fields. Famous for its drive of creativity and innovation, Limkokwing University has expanded its industrial reach from arts and design to architecture, from broadcasting to communication and much more.

“Our role as educators is mainly to provide our students with the greatest amount of exposure to the real world of design,” said Petrus Alfred Paul, Limkokwing’s graphic design lecturer. “To serve as a higher learning institution, the preparation for students is mostly important and here at Limkokwing, we guide and show them the footsteps for the design world.”

Students and graduates from the Limkokwing University can expect more than just a paper qualification when they study here according to the university’s president, Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Lim Kok Wing “We invest in a strategy that will strengthen Malaysia’s edge by building its global reputation for quality in education.”

“The university believes that the world belongs to the next generation. The skills and knowledge that they gain from this institution must prepare them to be responsible leaders and members of the global community,” Tan Sri Lim said.

“The education results in the students who walk out from here gain more than just paper qualification. They will experience character building and develop their talent, as we prepare an environment that strives on creativity and innovation.”

Last night i went to The Memories near the Padungan area for supper.
And to add to the kantau, my woofer and the extended compartment were stolen.
My woofer was worth a few hundred dollars and the extended compartment wasn't worth much but were mainly the receipts and lighters that i kept inside. The money doesn't bother me, it was the one hour vacuum job I had to do in order to get every shard of glass out of my seats and floor that pisses me off. A friend of mine urged me to lodge a police report but i refused.I have better things to do with my time than to negotiate with the police officer talking about the things that we all know they won't do.You all know how 'efficient and systematic' our police squad is nowadays.I need to get my door window replaced because I have to drive back to college on Monday.

You'd think that parking in a provided parking lot at padungan would be safe but seriously better think twice again nextime.Whatever asshole broke into my car got a raw deal though, cause the only thing they stole was my woofer and compartment,not my baby.I can tell that it is not a 1 man job since they can smuggle my big ass woofer.
